Pay Rate

Pay Rate

CareSphere strives to offer competitive pay rates based on the home care market.

All employees are hired with a base pay. Higher pay rates are determined seperately per case assignment.  If a higher rate is given for a case assignment, it would be for that specific case only. If you are then placed on a different case, the base rate would apply again.

All Caregivers are classified as "non-exempt" for purposes of federal and state wage and hour laws.

PCA Base Rate:
All Personal Care Aides start with a base rate of $11.10 per hour.
When working as a PCA, based upon the case assignment, you can earn up to $12 per hour.

HHA Base Rate:
All Home Health Aides start with a base rate of $12 per hour.
When working as a HHA, based upon the case assignment, you can earn up to $15 per hour.

LPN Base Rate:
All Licensed Practical Nurses working with shiftcare clients start with a base rate of $23 per hour.
When working as a LPN, based upon the case assginment, you can earn up to $28 per hour

LPN's working per diem shifts will be paid $35 per visit.

Overtime Pay:
Any employee which works overtime, will be compensated at the rate of one and one-half times (1.5) their normal hourly wage for all time worked in excess of 40 hours each week, unless otherwise required by law.
- Time spent on Travel Time, or any paid absences willll not be considered as time worked for the purposes of calculating overtime.
Travel Time Pay:
In addition to the hourly Pay Rate, you will be paid for travel time which is all in a days work. Travel from your home to work and from work home is not compensable. But if you work more than 1 shift on a single day, and you go straight to the 2nd patient from the first one, you will be paid for the time it took you to get from the first to the second case.
The pay rate for Travel Time is $7.25 per hour.
Inservice/Training Pay
Any hours spent completing mandatory Inservice or training hours for CareSphere will be paid at $7.25 per hour. These trainings are normally conducted online at a time that is best for you. There may be times you will be required to do in person trainings in our office.

PAY RAISES
All our pay rates are based on the clients's insurance reimbursement rates and are competetive in the home care field. CareSphere would very much like to give raises but because the insurance doesnt normally give CareSphere raises we may not always be able to raise your pay.
In a case where the Client Service Coordinator discusses with you a rate higher than the above mention base rate, it will then only go into affect with a written approval email. You should receive a written email approval within 3 days of the pay raise request. The approval will include a date of when the new rate will go into affect.
No pay rate will be honored without the written approval email.

Higher pay rates are determined seperately per case assignment.  If a higher rate is given for a case assignment, it would be for that specific case only. If you are then placed on a different case, the base rate would apply again.
